Well having the 5 wood from the Cleveland XL range it had been whirling around in my mind to get a 3 wood. I looked at the specs and thought seriously the std 3 wood is 2.5 degrees stronger and the shaft is less than inch different, which left me thinking these will be far too close together and my gapping would not be worthwhile. So I decided the spec for me would be a strong 3 wood and this comes in stiff (no worries here I am an inbetweener on the matrix ozik shaft so the regular is strong enough and the stiff is flexible enough).
Now the clubs on most main sites have dropped in price I have been shopping around, unfortunately they have been identified as "the to have" clubs and possibly one of the best bargains of 2013 ... making them like hens teeth in the specs I want at the £65 price point.
Well after some searching a pro on the bay had a brand new one on auction and I have managed to acquire it for less than the lowest web retailer price and the spec I want .... Now I just need to give it the run out
... see if my strategy is correct!
