Having not played a round of golf for a good week due to working, I decided I should treat myself today and went out to buy a 3 wood. And having tried everything they had in stock (which fortunately was everything I was interested in) I came away with a Adams Golf XTD A3 Fairway wood. It is an absolute beast! I was carrying it as far as my driver on the range due to the wind being into my face and the driver flying on a higher, less penetrating flight. It was carrying 200 yards and much more consistently so the Driver may have made an enemy in its quest to be pulled out of the bag. The gimmick is it is like a hybrid but it travels as far as a fairway and this is spot on. It is really nice to look down on despite being square, well more rectangular compared to the squareway and sq sumo square model, and it offer superb consistency as the sweet spot is huge. It also helped that I found a shaft I liked in the Aldila DVS 65g Stiff shaft which was a step up from my 5 woods Aldila which only weighs 55g and the difference was certainly notable in terms of the regularity of good results. I am absolutely thrilled with the club and would certainly recommend it to anyone who fancies a bit more forgiveness. If it goes as well on the course as it did on the range then tomorrow should be a good day. I am pretty exhausted from the 300+ balls I hit whilst testing the clubs but am more than happy with my purchase. :D

I love getting new things, my husband won't let me go to a golf shop on my own because he knows I'll buy something (wether I need it or not), his theory is that if he comes along aswell then he'll get something too. I'm happy with his logic, when he gets something so will I, no guilt then ;)
Anyway, let us know how it goes on the course.
