Hi Everyone,

After a bit of searching I decided that this looked like the best forum to join. I am an average-poor golfer but massively have the bug and try to get out on the course as much as possible.

It looks like there are some interesting topics on here so looking forward to learning a lot. First thing to learn is how to hit the ball straight though!

I do have what could be a stupid question: I was watching some cricket the other day and the commentators were saying how the colour of the ball made a huge difference to its behaviour. Is this the same with golf balls?

Thanks in advance,
Shankman!

Welcome to the forum :)

In cricket the difference is caused by the quality of leather they use and the dying process, dont apply to the manufacture of a golf ball

None whatsoever though if you use yellow or red balls on a normal autumnal day, you will look a right wally... my popinion.

And what a fine popinion it is too.

:D
