Head Pro
Went for 9 holes this morning at a local pay and play course, (which must be struggling because the course should never have been open!)
We were behind a group of people with brand new clubs, bags, balls, clothes, shoes etc. They looked the boll#x.
We were on a 340 yard hole, clear view of the green and they waited for the green to empty before hitting there drives.
Little bit ambitious but in these conditions i've had my 3 wood land then roll past the 300 yard mark so thought ok lets see what happens!!
1st tee shot was spannered out of sight at a 90 degree angle, second went about 6ft, third followed and the fourth went straight pu in the air landing just short of the last two shots.
Whilst laughing and giggling like a bunch of kids they sparked up a fag and walked to there balls.....still with there drivers in there hands which they hit off the fairway with similar success.
Everytime we got close to them they would just hit there balls like a hockey ball and run on. Couldn't get close enough to ask to play through.
Back in club house I asked them if today was there first time ever playing. They were all mid 50's and seemed a bit put out. They said they have been playing for a while and were actually members. I just laughed and tucked into my poached egg on toast (because of the 2009 weight loss challenge)!!!
All in all, sh#t day of golf!
