New to the forum

Hi all,

I have been looking at the forum for about a month & have been having a good laugh reading some of the posts. Thought it was about time to register & join in.

I only took up golf in Sept 2010 and have recently joined Stockwood Park in Bedfordshire. I don't have an official handicap yet but since my first game of 113 (Ouch!) I have been playing every week & in April I got my best score so far of 81.

Welcome aboard mate dont be shy in joining in the banter , any advice you seek you will recieve many & varyied answers all given in good faith, great spot if you'r not sure of a ruling or something like that , youl get put right in a good way , if your reading a month or so youl have a good idea of who,s who & who talks rubbish (anybody taking offence at this must think i mean them ha ha)enjoy . & look forward to reading your contributions .

I have been really pleased with my progress so far but I expect it will get a lot harder to lower my handicap from now on. I am getting reasonably consistent hitting the low to mid 80's.

Hoping to get some lessons soon to help me break into the high 70's.

Still can't hit the ball 300 yards yet though!!

Welcome along. Pull up a chair as you may be a while. 81 is a great score so there is clearly potential. Get your handicap cards in and get playing in competitions and I'm sure you'll do well
