Hi

I`ve finally taken the plunge and bought myself a set of clubs. I decided to go with the John Letters swingmaster ones after having a go on them in store.

Does anyone know of anywhere decent for lessons near the Hull area?

I decided it would probably be better having a few before wandering onto a course.

Thanks
Jim

Lessons are wise move but dont be afraid to get yerself down to the local muni and give it a crack...Enjoy you'll be hooked in no time !! Welcome to the forum btw !!

Hi Jim, welcome to this crazy place.
Don't personally know of any decent pros in the Hull area. There are several guys on Yorkshire Golf forum who live and play in Hull who may be able to help you and even have a knock with. (Not poaching!!!)
Saying that, there are probably quite a few East Yorkshire lads on here who will help you.;)

if theres a word of golf near you they do a free introduction to golf which consists of 6 1hour group lessons and teaches you the basics

Get yourself to the driving range on National Avenue in Hull, its called one stop golf and has a Snainton Golf shop attached so good deals to be had. The pro there (Richard Pace) is an excellent teacher and lessons are far more worthwhile than buying the latest gear.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi and thanks for the replies everyone.

I`ll give National Ave a call in the morning.

I`ve got everything apart from a golf buggy at the moment, lmao. I`am itching to go but everyone has said to get some lessons first, which sounds like a good idea.

Cheers
Jim
