Hey Guys,

I've always enjoyed watching Golf on TV and have always fancied giving it ago. Recently my fiancée got me a set of Golf lessons as a gift along with a 6 month subscription to GM. At first I wasn't too sure because I didn't really know anyone else who played Golf or if I would enjoy it.

I had my first lessons with my local Pro a week later and it was really interesting, loads of info to take in (a lot more then I expected) but it seemed good fun at the same time. Also I was shocked at just how many of my Friends, Family and Co-Workers actually play the sport. I was expecting to be the only one but there are probably enough of use to start our own society!

Since then I have finished my lessons, bought some gear and I'm really starting to enjoy this sport. I guess I'm lucky and have every day off (9-5) to get out and enjoy things while most other people are stuck at work!

Anyway I don't really have any questions and just wanted to say "Hi" and introduce myself to everyone here :)

Looking forward to getting to know you all!
/DD

Hellooooooooo DD.
Welcome aboard...
This lot on here will give you plenty to look forward to if your in their locality...
Thats the downside to living here across the pond...

I live between Durham and Middlesbrough. So far I have visited about five or six courses in my area (some better and more friendly then others), I haven't played every course I've visited due to some restrictions... and price! I don't really have a course I can call "Home" just yet though. From the ones I've been to Wynyard Golf Club, Castle Eden Golf Club, Knotty Hill Golf Centre and Ramside Golf Course seem to stick in my mind.
