Thanks, hadn't heard this... interested to hear what they're like...

I quite like the Project A but (for me) just not quite as nice around the greens as ProV1s so interested to see what Titleist come up with

Funnily enough, when i was playing at Dornoch a couple of months ago in amonge the 25 or so Pro v1x Baldrick found in the gorse by the 6th was one marked this way. i chucked it in with all the other non prem balls in a big bin in the garden where it still is. might have to dig it out.

I'd like to find more Pro v1xs round my track - I seem to find everything under the sun except Pro v1xs. Last couple of rounds I've been playing one and - maybe it's coincidence - but I seem to be able to hit it higher and straighter.

What is it about Pro v1xs that make then massively less popular (in my small part of the world) - than Pro v1s. Is it cos the latter is just better for higher handicap players - there being not so many Cat 1 players playing my track.

Not sure what a Project A ball is - never mind an AVX

Taylormade Project(a) are a top 3 piece golf ball comparable with Chromesoft and Prov1. I like them a lot and have a small supply at the moment. Would be interested to try the AVX as a comparison, but not at the same price as a ProV1 (as suggested in the article link). Needs to be ata a competitive price, otherwise I'll stick with Project(a)/ Chromesoft.

The tm equivalent to a prov1 is the tp5, not the project (a). Used to be the tour preffered before the tp5.

Project (a) was more of an nxt type ball.

If you want a ball aimed at a slower swing speed with all the benefits of a 3 piece and soft feel try the Bridgestone B330 RXS.

It's in the name Project A means project Amateur. It is aimed at players with a slower swing speed. About the same feel as a ProV1x last time I compared the two.

Pro v1x feels quite hard - well quite a lot harder than the Pro v1

But I know nothing about golf balls..I basically play what I find.

I like the three piece ball market at the moment. Better for my lack of distance with the slightly firmer balls compared to a premium four or five piece and not too much loss of control around the greens. Project A, AD333 Tour, NXT etc all good balls. I wonder if these offerings will supercede the NXT
