Anyone tried, tested one yet? Is it as good as it looks, and worth almost an entire years golf budget?

I see Jason Day used one for his latest win and this week at the Tour Championship. I noticed last night on the 5th that he was wayward off the tee. I started to think that perhaps the "New club" honeymoon was over, as it usually is for us mere mortals! But he seems to be back on track now.

I know it's not yet in the shops but someone must have tried one. :)

Being inundated with emails offering deals but I want to try one in the flesh. Not been a big TM fan for the last few driver incarnations but my pro has had a go and he's looking to change and he's be staunch Titleist in his driver for years

There is a pile of reviews on YouTube from the usual suspects. launch monitor tests and all.

Its a new driver. Of course it is good. if you like the look of it and have the doh, knock yourself out.

My local store got the fitting cart in today, had a look at it and looks really good. Did not get a hit, but I have a fitting booked for Tuesday. Official release is 8 th October with a steep price of £399 at most places.

Ok thanks, (not the knockout bit) but I want my fellow forumers views, cos I trust them!

First of all, welcome to the Forum!

So Tuesday it is then, be the first!

400 notes for a driver that will go no further than all of the rest of the current ones (as the you tube reviewers have proven) is a bit steep. I get the fact it looks nice and all that, but you really must want one at that price. Risky move I think by TM here at that price point especially when you consider product cycles nowadays.

but you will be able to pick it up for half price in a years time. I think it is a good thing manufacturers coming out with clubs on an annual basis, as it means lots of nice bargains for those of us that don't think every new model is much different from the previous one.

Golfbidder have RSI2 from £350 and r15 from £200 thats less than half RRP.

I agree that the consumer in the short term is a winner in all this, just think that it is not that great for the long term business models for golf retailers and manufacturers.

I can kind of see it working if say the cost is around the £250 mark like G30s or Fly Zs, but at 400 notes, that's a lot of money for a club that we all know will be retailing at nearly half that in a years time.
