New stand bag

Anyone using the Wilson Feather stand bag - supposed to be one of the lightest at only 3 or 3.5 lbs? Is it sturdy enough to carry 12/13 clubs plus all the other bits? If not, any recommendations.

So many good bags on the market and it depends on your budget and what you want. If you are a guy who wants to carry waterproofs, drinks etc there a good ones from Ping, Ogio and Sun Mountaion which are all light and with plenty of pocket space.

If you are not a brand name snob take a look at one of these AG have them and they are super light with lots of pockets and extra's, glove velcro, mesh bottle pocket. I use one when I have to lugg my gear. For the price it is unbeatable IMO.

I bought one of these to go with some Wilson clubs I purchased just over a year or so ago when I was just getting back into the game. The bag was perfectly OK but I returned my Wilson clubs so "brand snobbery" saw me change it. Sold it on to a friend of mine who uses it regularly and seeems very happy with it.

Thanks for the info, drawboy. At that price, it doesn't matter if it only lasts for one winter!! Is it an AG online only jobbie, or do they sell it in store?

if your looking at the feather wilson staff bag, why dont you look at the wilson staff tour carry bag. they are being sold for £55 at direct golf (i think!). i have it and its great. it is so light aswell so if this is a factor for you i would really consider it

I got mine instore, but check availability at your local AG. I can assure you it will last more than a few seasons it is surprisingly well made and sturdy.

Thanks Pete_93 - however, due to a dodgy back and neck I am looking for something as light as possible. The Staff Tour is 5.5 lbs compared to the Feather at max 3.5 lbs.

I have Sun Mountain H20 Tech, light and carries more than enough. I got mine off ebay (cheap).

they also do a 3.5 Superlight

Ive a Mizuno twister 3 bag. Dont buy it. Absolute pain in the arse. Looks lovely but the woods just dont sit proper as all the dividers at at really finny angles.

I have a Mizuno Gtx bag which is a very good bag, lots of pockets and not too heavy but ive had to send it back to mizuno because the ball compartment has split on the seam where the pocket is stitched.

Other than that i would deffo recommend the bag.
