So there's a few new Skycaddie units coming out.
The Ads are saying that the Sport series have got 30k courses preloaded.

Does this mean a yearly subscription won't be needed?

Can't see anything concrete on their website - anyone know?

If they've decided to do away with the subs on the cheaper units they could sell by the barrel-load...

I would say you still have to pay the annual subscription. My dad has the SGX which has a large number of preloaded courses on it but he still has to pay the annual fee.

It would not surprise me if the basic i.e front, middle and back was free and if you wanted the other distance to bunkers and things you would pay for that . Don't know for sure mate , so not much use to you really:D

I have read somewhere that the initial price of the unit includes your first years fees. After that you have to renew every year just as you do now.

That's always been the case. This years subs on my wee 2.5 are up and I'm looking at alternatives before renewing. Will be interesting to see how Sky Caddie release the new units.
