Hi All,Im thinking of getting some new shoe's for the new season. My local golf pro has recommended the new footjoys..dryjoys..Any thoughts or alternatives would be greatly appreciated

Hi Steve,

I feel the contours by footjoy are more comfortable. I've also been looking at the myjoys option of designing your own style, just look for the link on footjoys website.

just get something that fits and is comfortable, and within budget. I do generally feel with shoes you get what you pay for.

All the best.

shoes are a personal choice really, try everything and pick what feel's the best. New footjoy's look nice, and seem to be the muts muts but adidas seem to be very popular at the mo!

I have the FJ REELfits and they are excellent. There are no pressure points on the top of the foot where traditional laces are tied and they keep tight all day. American Golf are punting them at £99 and will last you years.

Agree with the support for Footjoys. I have a pair of LTs and a pair fo AQLs and both have proved hard wearing and comfortable straight out of the box.

I'm also looking at the new Dryjoys (either the black/white or plain black). Not a great lover of the adidas range - bit too trendy form me.

Hi Tech shoes are really good. I wore a pair on the course straight fromthe box with no blistering.

I'm also tempted by creating Myjoy FJ's but can't seem to settle on a design. Keep creating new ones!

If you've got the dough then it's Footjoy MyJoys IMHO. I'm saving already.

Word here is about £120 all in.

I used to really rate Dryjoys, but have now moved on to FJ Classics. Unbeleivable price, but the best doesn't come cheap.

Just got a pair of black classic tours from fleabay for £96. Bargain.

Dude if you want a proper pair of shoes, spend alittle extra and get ecco GTX. Most comfortable shoes ever, gortex shoes and will last many years. Foot doctors help design to help your ankles, knees, hips and back. The quality of materials are far better than FJ's.
They'll cost you about £130 but its worth it!!!

i bought a pair of FJ reelfits in New York whilst my wife was running the marathon ("honest love, i did look for you!") and they fit superb...agree totally with MADANDRA. I also agree that you get what you pay for....the higher the price the better the shoe (there are exceptions)...if you can, go for leather uppers and soles; stiched and bonded.

Happy hunting
