Hi all,

Just wondering could anyone recommend a new pair of golf shoes? Comfort and waterproof are a priority, looks don't matter to me, anywhere between the £55-£90 market.

Thanks.

Hi, I have just bought some Nike heritage shoes in black that I am impressed with, they are waterproof 1 year guarantee and very comfortable. best of all they cost me £39.99 which is a great price.

A lot of members here will recommend the Footjoy AQL range, and I would be amongst them.
Waterproof, and very good value for money. They can be picked up for between £45.00-£60.00 depending on where you shop so are well within your budget. Fit straight out of the box and you have the legendary Footjoy quality to fall back on.

Smiffy,

Not so sure about the AQL's I am on my second pair in a month and am about to return these also due to them splitting around the sole line after only 2 rounds.

The split does not look bad but does affect the waterproofing.
Normally I would allways recommend FJ's but not the AQL's.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with them Toady.
I've got two pairs. A black pair for "winter" use (fitted with stinger spikes) and a white and tan pair for "summer" use. Both pairs fit a treat, the white ones especially. They are as comfy as the comfiest pair of slippers. Have had no issues with either pair. I would definitely buy again. Hope you get your problem pair sorted out.

This!

Had a pair for 12 months still nice and comfy, waterproof too.

The leather (?) just behind the toe has cracked it's just superficial.

Yeah I had spotted these in my local pro shop and they struck me as being good value but I was concerned about quality.
Thanks
My pro assures me they are flying out of his shop and that he has not had a single pair brought back for any reason. That's good enough for me.At the end of the day we can get a rogue pair from any manufacturer because lets be honest they are all made in the far east probably in the same factory.

Bought a pair of them last week Smiffy, your spot on in every respect.Cant fault them.

adidas 3.0 shoes have recently come down a lot in price to £69.99 so if you can find some in your size then they would be a great buy

I love adidas shoes easily the most comfortable but their waterproofing is pants, I usually end up buying a new pair every winter; or hobbling round in my old FJ aqualites.

Abother fan of the Footjoy AQL here. Had mine almost a year, still look new. Cant go wrong for the money.

I'd have a look for the dryjoys. Top end of your budget but in my opinion a slightly better constructed shoe. There should be some good deals around. I know AG were doing the Dryjoys PODS (2008 style) for around £50 which was half the original RRP

i agree with Pete Adidas tour 360 3.0 for 70 are the best shoe you can but for that money

Or adidas pweerband on online golf for 40 notes if you like thte colour

Just bought myself a pair of Footjoy Dryjoys from AG (got the online price instore) for £69...very comfortable straight of the box and comes with 1 year waterproof guarantee! Recommendable indeed
