For those of you who have got new stuff recently, dont forget to get some photos taken.
That way if some low-life decides to help himself to your gear, at least you have proof to show your insurance company what was stolen.

Good advice

And don't forget to tell the forum about buying them so that the world & his dog know you have new shinies worth nabbing :D

if you forget and the worst happens, just nip down to AG and take some snaps there. A receipt will usually suffice though.

Do you get a receipt if you buy second hand off Ebay or they are a present?
And as for taking pictures at AG, how would that work?

My clubs arent covered by home insurance and I guess with specialist insurance they'd ask for proof of anything out of the ordinary at purchase time.

A picture would be worthless as you could easily get one from Google images

You should phone up your home insurance- I got my renewal quote for home insurance recently so phoned them up to get £2k worth of golf gear added to the policy(including when in the car) and renewal was under £2 extra a month.

Its a good idea but I had to tell my insurance company the value of my clubs. That is all I will get if the worst did happen.

They are not bothered how many or what type. Just the value.

My home insurance is up soon so I may look at it.

I also have the serial numbers of my clubs kept in a spreadsheet should they ever go missing,

On your laptop? That's OK then, the little toerags are obviously only interested in sporting goods and would never half inch the lappie as well.

I am lucky in that Alex at Orka has a record of all of my clubs, when they were bought and what I paid and so that should sort me out in the case of an emergency.
