New Shineys......Suggestions & Advice please

Hi Guys,

Though I'd get the ball rolling on this one before I reach my handicap target!

At the start of they year I set myself a target handicap of 18 (currently down to 20). Once achieved, I have promised myself a new set of shiney's as a reward. Ideally looking for a game improvement iron which I could always custom fit to suit my game is need be. Thing is living in Gibraltar, we dont actually have any places where I could get them custom fitted. I would need to pop over the border to Spain to try and locate such a service.

As you can see from my signature I currently play the very forgiving Nike Slingshots which have served me well so far however if I am to buy a new game improving set what would you recommend and why?

Warning: I am quite the sucker for Nike!! haha

Most brands make GI clubs.
You could look at the American Golf website, in the irons section there is a filter to search by handicap range. Maybe a few sets on there will catch your eye?

Callaway X-Hot, Ping G25 and Mizuno JPZ-825 came out top of a resent test for the Best New GI irons.

See a club fitter who has a good idea about how clubs should really be put together and who checks the finished product before he gives it to you. Try not to be brand aware.
