Hi
New member just looking to see if I can get some general advice regarding getting new shafts for my irons.

Long story short I wanted a set of Callaway paradym AI smoke irons, but was too lazy to travel to a retailer to have them fitted and bought, so did a fitting somewhere local to get a ballpark idea of what I needed. So after being technically fitted for a set of Callaway Elyte's (true temper Vector shafts), I was told I needed a lightweight stiff shaft, between 80g - 90g and half an inch longer than standard. But when I went to purchase the ai smokes from the other retailer my only option was true temper elevate 95 as the 85 had sold out.

I feel that they are still a touch heavy when I swing, but I've only had them a year. Is it worth getting new shafts (lighter) and what would the cost be for 5-pw.

Just looking for some advice as I really don't want to pay upwards of £300 for the sake of it.

Thanks for looking

If you have 6 irons, even at £50 a shaft that’s the £300 that you didn’t want to spend and then you have possible fitting charge and maybe grips.

Perhaps your best bet is to see if you can find a set on one of the 2nd hand reseller sites...you might not get your exact spec (most likely missing would be the half inch extra length) but you should at least get Stiff Elevate 85's....you might get an offer for your current clubs that sees your nett spend come within budget.

Pity you aren't regular flex....I just listed a set of Ai Smokes with Elevate 85's on ebay this morning. :ROFLMAO:
