Ola,

My latest flatstick, the Versa 1W, comes with a horrid slick thin grip. I do not like. So, new grip time, hate superstrokes as I like a bit of taper.

The Ping Midsize is a favourite, as is the Odyssey White Hot Pro, but I've also come across the 'Pure Midsize Golf Grip', a 100% soft rubber grip, anyone tried it?

Thoughts and musings most welcome.

Cheers

I'm a fan of the Winn Midsize - or similar.

But, to me, it's time you sorted out your putting, not your putter!

I love the Winn grips they feel so much nice than the cheap feel of the super stroke just my opinion. Go and try one at you local golf shop.

i second this. That's exactly what i did and now how a Winn jumbo. Titleist said that their grips on the Scotty putters are Winn.

Had the same question a couple of months back. I used a Winn mid size pistol grip previously, whilst the size and feel were just right, it was horrible when it got wet. Someone on here recommended me GripMaster leather grips, and these guys http://coregolf.co.uk/cabretta-midsize-sewn-putter-grip.html. Coincidentally it turns out, I drive past them everyday and was playing at a course right by them that week so arranged to go see them. They were just in the middle of setting up a brand new indoor putting studio, with a very interesting electrically controlled putting green that can be tilted a number of different ways to add borrow to the green. That aside, I plumed for one of the leather grips as did my wife, and we are both very pleased that we did. The feel they give is fantastic, my putting has come on no end. They are a little more expensive than some of the regular rubber grips, but are expected to last the life of the putter. Recommend the grips highly, and the service at Core Golf.

Had my Scotty for one week but will be removing the midsize grip that it came with as it is just too fat. Lovely looking grip but going to fit a standard Lamkin paddle that I have used on my two ball for the last ten years.

It is about scores and not how it looks.

£40!? That's only £10 cheaper than my putter!!!

I rally fancy trying a bigger grip but worry I won't get on and end up dorking out to change it again! It's not the same just holding the grip in the pro shop.

The Winn I had before cost a tenner and I had to change it in less than a year.... If this lasts as long as expected, it's no dearer than buying 3 more Winn (or similar) grips over the next few years....... did feel pricey at the time but it is a fantastic grip, and having used it for 3 months now, am very glad I decided to go for it.

In a dilemma now as I played today and with the medium grip still fitted I putted well and had 5 birdies:confused: Might wait a bit longer before I change the grip now.
