New Puma "Street" golf shoes - look way better than my regular fav Adidas......

Re: New Puma "Street" golf shoes - look way better than my regular fav Adidas...

I know they ARE golf shoes, but, I can see alot of people getting a rollocking from their clubs if they were to wear them on the course.

A bit to much of a trainer for my taste. I'd rather have a set of equivalent priced FJ's

I know a lot of people say similar, but I remember way back in the mid eighties when I started playing at first, even then you could buy non spiked golf shoes with a dimpled sole. Not too different to the styles today. These are shoes specifically designed for golf, and I think the Puma ones don't look so much like trainers as some of the others.

I just don't get this carze!

My old course would have an issue I suspect even if they are golf shoes. They would not allow the Nike/TW colllarless golf tops and suspect that they would be equally willing to ban this type of shoe.

Yes, I am a self-confessed Puma whore, but I'd definitely think twice about shelling out 100 notes for these. If I lived in Florida and played perfectly manicured coruses in 75 degree sunshine all year, they would be a nice option, but TBH in this country they are expensive for not much stability or waterproofing.

Style yes, price and function, no.

I'm not sure I get them either. The new Ecco ones look OK, but those look like orthpedic shoes

Give me a pair of FJ's any day for style and substance... Although always fancied a pair of M-A Jiminez style Spatz numbers..

check these out

TheRod, those are awesome. That's my next shopping item. Although if they are Ecco they will cost an arm and a leg...

...... and if the wife sees you've brought them at that price..... Your genitles too :mmm:

My pro shop has just started stocking Puma, they had an all white pair in, not sure what model, which looked the muts nuts.

Always think Puma shoes are quite narrow though

they are Nebuloni and current retail at £330 (a pair not each ). I'd be scared to get them dirty !!

They Pumas are minging they should stick to making football boots, best ever in my day Puma Kings, like wearing slippers

It's a funny one with shoes. I love my Lamdas and my Dryjoys, but I've just got a pair of the Adidas street shoes (they look exactly like Stan Smiths) and I think they're great for summer social golf or trips abroad.

I thought my club might have a fit if I wear them, but they stock the Ecco ones (the one's Fred wore) so surely thats precedent.

BTW them Eccos are PROPER smart golf shoes!!!

I'll let you know if I get banned. :)

Yeah, that's as maybe mate. But I know that she secretly likes the Ladies Ecco World Class with the red saddle (£250)... so that may be my leverage right there! Haha, a man can dream...

Those Croc effect ones are superb, would love a pair but at £330, I too would worry about them getting muddy.

i don't get your logic, you would willingly pay £300-£400 for a driver that you use 12-14 times a round at best but would cringe at spending £150 on a pair of ecco shoes that you will have to wear for 4-5 hours in all weathers strange.
