We've had a couple of xmas pressie posts so i though i would ask for some advice myself.

I didn't have a clue what to ask the family for , for xmas , until i remembered that the last time i was using it out on the course ( Sept time :)

Any reccomendations on a decent pull trolley , upto about £100 , that i can suggest to the family ?

Many thanks in advance

Paul

I’ve just got a powakaddy twinline 3. They cost around 60 smackers and they’re much better than a two wheel job and the build quality is really good. I’ve had a two wheel PK for around four years and that’s gone to my young nephew. In my opinion the three wheel job is less tiring. Certainly better than a two wheel job.

As well as my leccy trolley, I also have a cheap pull trolley.
I have no problems pulling it, sure it pulls on your back at times, especially when lugging it up hills.
I do occasionally spin it round and push it, especially down some of the steeper parts of our course.

I did have a bad experience once whilst pushing however. I was merrily pushing along, strolling towards my ball, when the trolley rolled down into a small dip. The front bit at the bottom of the trolley dug in and abruptly stopped. I however carried on and damned near removed my tackle in one swift move! OUCH!!!

I assume a push trolley has 3 wheels which allow the front end to ride over such dips.

Why pull? Get a decent push trolley like the powakaddy one or one of these http://www.golfsupport.co.uk/P/Golf-Trol...ley-(2572).aspx which is just over your budget but meant to be very good.

A push trolley would definitely be better for your back / posture!

Perhaps i should have just said an unpowered trolley !!! I read the other thread on these trolleys but not sure about the wheel width ? Looks quite narrow on the tyre .

Nomad,

I know its over budget but my clicgear trolley arrived last week and it is awesome....and it folds up tiny!

Dont worry about the wheels either, they are fine and are allowed on all courses.

This is the one I was going to get (though ultimately I bought a powerbug on ebay instead) Motocaddy S1 Lite

Agree with Tommo21 about the twinline3. Got one to replace an older "traditional" trolley which succumbed to old age. THis has been excellent so far. OK there is a rather foddly brake to get the hang of, but it's well build and folds down quite small and is fairly light.

Well worth a look.

Agree with others about Powercaddy Twinline - but I prefer the twinline 2 (a mate has the 3) Build quality of both is excellent. Doesn't fold that small, but if that's not a problem, then they are great.
