All over the net today is the launch of the new Ping G series. Currently on the lookout for a 3 wood and also struggling with hybrids and their left tendencies so looking forward to seeing their new Crossover to see if it's any good.

In cars, a Crossover is somewhere between a 4WD and a normal hatchback, so I'm intrigued to know what a Crossover golf club looks like and does! :mmm:

These clubs have really appealed to me. Loving the irons particularly. I was in two minds about the Gmax irons as I liked the performance in reviews, but the looks just turned me away. G irons now seem to have the performance characteristics of the Gmax (although not quite as jacked), but with a more classic, refined look.

Also liking the looks of the new driver, also loved the ball flight that Shiels was getting in his review. However, I think I'd still prefer the looks of the marmite club of the recent releases with the Nike Vapor Fly. In terms of forgiveness though, it'd probably be Ping all day long.

It's nice to dream about new shiny things...on a student income that's all it is! :(

Get your name down & good luck.

Sceptical me.....:D

So you think it was a "I'd love these clubs, but I'm just s poor little student" post to try & sway the vote? :p

Can't blame him for trying.

Did I mention my goldfish died today & these clubs would really cheer me up.

I'm interested in the Crossover as based on Joel's review it's more forgiving than current driving irons. 238 yards with a 4 iron though - what did you have for breakfast that morning?!!!!!

The driver looks much better in all black than Bubbas lurid pink version.

The reviews I've viewed indicates that their appearance now matches the good solid performance.

Interested to see these having gamed G irons in the past.
