Well I just reshafted my 1987 Ping eye 2s with KBS Tour 120 shaft. Haven't hit them on the course yet but they look sweet imo with the satin shaft.

Great looking shaft! Not going to pretend they heads are pretty but I bet that is a super interesting set of irons now!

Hi yes reshafted the irons myself was really easy to do. Playing the new combo for 1st time tomorrow but if they don't work out will pull the shaft and put them in the i20s I have.

No reason it should not be a great combo. Never hot the Eye irons but there reputation precedes them.

How did you pull them? Do you have a puller or did you just heat them up and give them a yank?

With the Pings you have to get them really quiet hot and then the glue pops and then it's just a matter of pulling the shaft out no real yanking or force needed just a little twist and they all came out fine.

What a set of irons! They look awesome. That head shape is fundamentally repeated again and again in cavity backs. They hold the dna for generations of clubs. I know of 2 really top golfers who still use the wedges (top meaning low low hcp!)
