Evening all
I hope everyone has managed to get out for a knock or some practice this weekend and enjoy the good weather
I'm just following up on a thread on the website feedback forum http://forums.golf-monthly.co.uk//showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/101525/an/0/page/0#101525
The idea is to change the name of 'the lounge' to '1st tee' to make it more reflective of the content in there
I like the 1st tee idea but what what does everyone reckon?
Also Brendy suggested changing the name of the Out of Bounds (off topic) forum as well
Again, any strong views either way and if suggestions for a new name for OOB
cheers

No confusion for me. I fail to see what's difficult about the existing set up. You only need to read a few posts before jumping in to place your own post.

But I can also see why the change would need to be made.

How about 'Fairway' and 'Nineteenth'.

I'm easy either way, I'll just get used to it.

I think OOB already kinda indicates that it's offtopic chat. I don't really mind "The 19th" though as it's used a lot anyway.

But with regards to this forum being called 1st tee? I think it's terribad. I don't really have anything better though so whether i'm in a position to comment or not is debatable!! ;)

I did think that 'the lounge' was the wrong name for the on topic section so I think the change is good idea.

If we're going along with the idea that the names should be related then my votes are:

In play & OOB

1st tee & 19th

Prefer 'in play' or 'fairway' to first tee. Also think using rooms like 'cubhouse' and 'spike bar' doesn't differentiate sufficiently compared to OOB which says what it is!

What about 'Opening Hole' For intros.
'19th' For golf chat general
'OOB' As it is now.
'Pro shop' For all golf kit chatter.

I dont really care but if change is afoot, I may as well throw something in. :D
