With the first fixture this weekend (QPR) since the acquisition/availability of Falcao, Blind, Rojo and Shaw, I'm interested to hear other United fans preferred XIs. Non-United fans are also welcome to voice their (constructive!) opinions...

My choice is a 3-2-3-2 that accommodates all the big names. Against better teams it'd need a swap round to add better defensive cover though:

De Gea

Jones - Rojo - Shaw

Blind - Herrera

Di Maria - Rooney - Mata

RVP - Falcao

You seem to be a typical Man U fan Jake, living in Tunbridge Wells.:)

I am more worried about the Royals line up tomorrow. Need to beat Fulham or I will have Homer gloating for months.:(

nice when you have the ball, but without it you have 4 players that are not going to put a shift in regarding winning it back. Also who is going to protect the flanks? Mata and Di Maria are not really players that are known for their work rate when defending. Lining up against that would not be too difficult IMO. 4 across the back with someone in a deep DM role, plenty of width and drag the CB's out of position as the united wide men aren't going to do much defending.

Still got your butchers coat? ;)

How does a 3-2-3-2 work, who are on the sides of the pitch, if no wing backs?

No but I do still have my wembley flags from when the FACF was a proper day out 76 (he WAS offside!) 77 :whoo: :D 79 should off took him out ala Moran in 85.

Never mind getting them a in the team a scruffy 1-0 is all that's called for on Sunday! :)
