I am in the market for a new set of Mizzies. I currently have MX23's which are about 8/9 years old. Handicap is 11.6, and my natural ball flight is quite high. Will be testing a few models out before I buy, but am leaning towards either the 850 Forged or the EZ Forged. Any comments/observations would be appreciated.

If its quite high why not try a more muscle back iron rather than a cavity, I play with MP-52's and love them, a good second-hand set of MP's could be got for under £200.

why not look at other brands or are you blinkered to Mizuno only? and if so do you mind if I ask why?

Look at his signature, he's a Mizzy whore like the rest of us who believe the futures blue, Mizzies are the mutts nutts :smirk:

nothing wrong with new kit. I have just replaced my Mizuno Mp53s with Callaway XR Pro
Hitting the ball very high is most likely a technique issue rather than your kit.

I may indeed be a Mizzy whore, but I have just tested some irons at AG. Tried AP2's, Ping I30's, RS2's and 850 Forged. Absolute no brainer - I'm just putting up the red light now!! Mizzies, badgers nadgers, end of.

I bought the JPX 850 forged a few months ago and love em! Just need to makes sure that you fully test the shafts to get the right one. I ended up with the Nippon 1150's but it was a close call to the KBS tour shafts.
