Hi All,

these just popped up on my FB page:

I know nothing about them but I see the irons are forged.

Don't know if it's true but I heard that sales of the JPX825 under performed and feedback suggested that the design was good but the lack of forging was not. So it would make sense if these replaced the larger headed 825 but forged while the 825 pro remain the more compact of the range.
As I say, it's just what I heard so not sure how much substance is in it.

They are very 825 regular looking aren't they.... in these photos they also look pretty Ping like.:mmm:

I think the 825 Pro are very forgiving.

I agree. The 800/825 pro was designed to be forgiving while remaining compact. The "normal" 800/825 wasn't designed compact so not everyone will be confident looking down on the pro version (and we all know what is said about confidence in your gear).
I think these do look very 825 regular with a hint of Ping crossbreeding... so to speak.

I do think they look nice though, a change from the usual blue-ness (is that a word?).

Worth mentioning that at last Mizuno have an adjustable set of woods..... too little to late? The need to offer more than there own wood shafts if they are going to go down this road.

In fairness on the shaft point Alex, Mizuno (along with Titleist) have a great track record of picking the shafts that will be stock for their woods. Exsar, Fubuki and Orochi to name three that have been great shafts.
Compare them to the stuff that TM, Cally etc offer and I would rather have limited good shafts to choose from rather than multiple poor ones.

Yep totally agree but at the moment all they have in woods is the Orochi and PX, that is not enough if you are calling your adjustable system "Quick Switch" ..... what am I switching to?

Humans like options, even if you offer them 3 poor options, that you have offered 3 means they have choice... :D

Well I for one love my new 825 Pro's:thup:

Mizuno give a choice though mate... take it or leave it :D

Patrick Old Boy, don't you know that word has been banned from this forum, anyway it's nothing to do with the clubs and all about the guy/gal on the end of it:rofl:

Really!!!

Glad you have like me embraced game improvement clubs.... you now just need to get rid of that 2 iron and Vokey wedges and get a hybrid and a couple of chippers;)

Patrick Old Boy,

The 2 Iron will never leave the bag and as for Hybrids well no chance you will ever see one of them in my bag I would rather use spades and take up gardening:thup:

These EZ irons look like they could be going in the bag.

There are two options- forged and cast.

Anyone got confirmed price options? Any major difference in the forgiveness vs distance of these two sets of irons?

Anyone find the lofts of these irons anywhere?
