Just joined forum and just joined golf club as an associate member, no handicap yet think I am about 25, played 9 holes after work , birdied the 1st, threaded my ball through and past about 50 trees without touching a single one to have a shot at the green, then got attacked by a swan , you got to love this game, Bear.

I'm sorry to tell you, you're doomed to a life of remembering that.
I suffered with Seve's "I see the shot" syndrome until I was close to being concussed by my own shot hitting a tree and watching my partners collapse laughing as I ducked.
I recovered and now belong to the "Don't be stupid, take your medicine and chip out" school.
I still "see the shot" though and dream;)

Enjoy every minute :D
 
Welcome Mr Grylls, good to see your taking up something less dangerous, other than the swan and not killing yourself with your own ball. :whoo:

Hope you like it here, most of us do.
 
welcome to the mad house Bear. You should fit in well as they say you dont have to be mad to come on here but it sure helps.
PS Look out for the windup merchants :)
