I have just joined. I am at present off work with Scatica I have not played for over 4 weeks and for someone who normally plays twice a week I am begining to rattle. I look forward to getting involved in some of the posts.

I once played a round of golf with a guy suffering with Sciatica. he would be fine one minute and in a heap on the floor screaming in pain the next. Shooting pains down his hamstrings.

Good luck and get that rest. The golf course will still be there when you're better!

Great course your a member of, or I'm at least assuming that Bogside is your home course. Played it a good few times and apart from 2 or 3 "funny" holes its a great track, infact its a dam tough track!

Thanks for your replies. I have been a member of Bogside for over 25 years my current handicap is 8 old age and sore back's are taking there toll. I did manage to get down to 3 at one time but to be honest I could not play to it. I like going on holiday and even more when I get to take the club's.I have been to Orlando about 16-17 times and like the golf there but I still prefer good Links golf. IMO Best links courses I have played Turnberry /Carnoustie Best inland Loch Lomond / Rosemount.
I like a good 4ball and when I get back to full fitness if anybody wants a game at Bogside give me a shout
