Hi all been lurking for months now and enjoying reading the post's!! So Iv'e decide to join the conversation.

My name is Matt 31 years old been playing since 1993 a wee junoir back then.

Currently playing off 14.5 (Well) but cant finish rounds off!

And that leads me on to my question how do you play your rounds shot by shot? OR have a vison of the hole beforehand??
:mmm:

Take it easy.

Your HC says 14.5 @DGC.co.uk ?!

What's that about

Play each round shot by shot and see what happens

I know how I want to play each hole, but it's still a shot by shot approach.. Just relax and focus on the next shot.. It's the only one you have any say over..

Welcome,

Its a mad house.

I would say that its a bit of both with regards to your question.

I absolutely have a vision of how i want to play a hole before i tee off, but then once my tee shot doesnt go anywhere near where i want it to, i adjust that plan ;).

surely we must all have a 'hole' vision before we tee off? otherwise why are we hitting the club off the tee we are hitting?

I echo all of these sentiments!

Welcome, come in and get involved.

On your question it has to be one shot at a time, and if I could just adopt that strategy myself then I'd be a happy lad.

I'm a newbie myself, long time lurker but would like to get involved more!

I have in my head how to play the hole, (I've probably been thinking about it all week!) and it lasts right up to taking the first shot, then i just make it up as i go along!:D
