I bought a hybrid from golfbidder, a 23 degree mashie. It's got a black widow widow maker grip on it.

I'm thinking about getting all of my clubs re gripped, they're coming up for 3 years old on my irons.

I like the feel of the black widow grip, but it feels a little bit fat in my hands. Can anyone recommend something which is similar texture wise but the same size as a standard tour velvet?

I know grips are quite a personal thing so not easy to recommend, but if anyone thinks there's a particular grip
I should be considering let me know. I've always used tour velvet to date and they're a decent enough all rounder so might stick with them.

A bit of research leads me to believe golf pride new decade multi compound would be equivalent to the black widow grip.

Anyone use these? I'm sure lots must.

The Black Widow grip might have extra tape under it.

Or could be "mid-size"
I've just bought a Cobra Bio-Cell driver off the bay and the guy who owned it previously had replaced the standard sized grip with a mid-sized Lamkin.
I didn't think it would make much difference.
Two trips out with it proved otherwise and I quickly replaced it with a standard sized one.
Feels much better now.

Thanks everyone.

Maninblack, are they good in winter / wet conditions? The description makes them sound like a really good summer grip, but I want something durable and versatile - particularly if it's a little wet.

IMO the best grips out atm are the Lamkin UTx grips, a cross between cord and soft compound. Really nice feel to them, go for the black versions and they look the biz. Only down side is the price, circa £8.50 each.

Full cord.

Lamkin or Golf Pride won't see you far wrong.

Both sites have a size suggestion tool. Either that or seek advise from your pro.

Grips are personal so you need to find out for yourself. Everyone has different preferences, mine however is the Tour Velvet 360.
