Hello All

Im thinking of buying a new Trolly bag and would like to know if any of you have any recommendations. I have seen the new Hippo G350 which seems a good buy.

Thanks In Advance

I got a new cobra cart-bag. It has loads of features like a keep-cool/warm drinks pocket, waterproofed valuables pocket, comfortable strap, good pockets for balls, tees, clothing, food, scorecard & fork. It has a 14 way divider plus an umbrella pocket.

It is a top, top bag and the best bit was that it only ran me in £80

As everyone knows I like cobra but I picked this on features/price balance. I had decided on a sun-mountain bag before the Cobra rep dropped this in.

If you are after a bargain my friends at centregolf chatham ( www.discountgolfstore.co.uk) are doing a stix cart-bag with 14 way divide and loads of pockets for £39.99 which is a snip.

I use an Ogio Atlas, not the cheapest but it looked like it would do the job better than the others I looked at. So far seems like a great buy.

Used to have a Sun Mountain C130 bag, packed with features but the rain hood was cheap and nasty and left gaps that rain could get in - absolute basic necessity that they failed on, meant I sold it.

It depends on what your requirements and needs are. If you are going to play lots of golf but only tend to play in good conditions I recommend a good quality carry bag. There are many makes out there but Ogio, Taylormade, Mizuno, Wilson and Callaway all produce various styles and models.

If you are more likely to play in poorer conditions you may want to consider a trolley bag (but make sure your course lets you use a troley in WInter conditions). These tend to be made of more waterproof (or at very least more water resistant) materials than the lighter carry bags.

Again there a numerous good names out there. Powercaddy would seem to be a market leader.

I guess it boils down tot what you want and how much you are prepared to spend. Have you checked out the equioment guide on the GM website?

I recomend one that's divided into a section for each club - and you might want to check if the dividers are just at the top (then the shafts of your clubs still get tangled) or go down all or part of the way.
A dry pocket is handy - especially this week!

Thoroughly recommend the new Powakaddy deluxe cart bag.

Looks good and does the job brilliantly.

And AG will price match a reputable online dealer so that was £30 saved too!

General comment on bags - My titleist carry bag (and the taylormade one before it) has a rain cover that is as waterproof as a tea bag. Why? What is the point of a non water resistant (never mind proof) rain cover?
