Am looking at getting some new Footjoys Dryjoys so popped into my local golf shop to have a look as had been looking at them online and wanted to try them out.

They said they didn't have them in yet but he would keep me pair when they did. So I said I wanted white with black croc- size 10 wide fit.

The guy said that the new 2010 model didn't come in a wide fit in those colours, only in brown croc and all black.

I know I am a wide fit, as have that at the moment. Anyone else come across this? Is the new model wider that the old one??

Seems quite weird. Would you advise me to try on models then if they have changed their system?

I like the look of the SYNR-Gs however they are £100+ so doubt i will get them (unless all goes to plan and i win the lottery ;) )

No idea Redwood, why they have done this with the new range, seems a strange decisions.

Owen- was looking at the Adidas but never tried a pair on, what are they like??

Adidas are great shoes. Most comfortable I've ever had.

FJ shoes now look like they should have a caliper attached. Rank rotten.

For me they were great from the off, no rubbing and in my opinion they look great. Saying that i was just on the FJ website and designed a pair of FJ ICONS and have to say their tempting :D

I hate adidas golf shoes. They always come up at least half a size and sometimes a whole size small. I am 8 in absolutely everything so why do I need a 9 in an adiadas golf shoe. They aren't particularly wide, take an age to break in and every pair I've owned have leaked like a Labour Cabinet Minister within a year.

I can by FJ and wear them straight from the box with no trouble and I can even design my own just to add a touch of individuality (well my swing is unique so why not my shoes). I'm not sure why some makes aren't in W sizes and it may be worth asking FJ customer service for their opinion

I think it depends on what kind of feet you have, if you know what i mean :D. I can put any shoe on without blisters etc but for comfort i would say the 360 Ltd. If you want the wide FJ go to the website and design some for yourself as they let you put whatever size you want. The Adidas shoes are the same size as what i wear in everything even compared to the FJs.

I need a wide fit on the shoes too. Can be a real pain. Hardly any shops stock wide fittings so they have to be ordered in. If I ever turn up without shoes I wont be playing - I can't buy shoes that fit me at my club.

Well T,
I have a wide foot also and need a shoe with a wide toe box.
I bought the FJ SynR G's and they felt fine in the shop just a little narrow but i thought they might loosin out.....They havent....The little ridges around the edge of the sole are killing my small toe...So im back on the shopping spree againg for another pair.

Waiting to get the ECCO Ultra Pro 2010 in black. Looked at the FJ lines and don't like any of them except the SYNR-G's which I have and the leather cracks very easy.

Like Homer, I find that Adidas shoes come up very small compared to other makes. I have 3 pairs of Footjoy AQL's and each pair fitted perfectly straight from the box.
Tried a pair of Nike last year and they crippled me!
FJ's all the way for me
