I have a R7 425 TP for sale on Ebay, auction finishes in about 7 hours in case you're interested. Buy it now is £90 I think, starting bid of £50.
Dont especially like it and shifting the weights about hasn't altered my trajectory much. Not as long as my old Nike Ignite either.
I've just got a Srixon 506 to replace it.

Hasn't arrived yet, just ordered! Will let you know how it goes in due course!

Par par treble -the shaft is high spec but is a bit stiff for me, was a 'suck it and see' purchase. I'm a bit of a gear nut and like trying different stuff, especially if I can acquire it cheaply!.

I know this deal (and the site) and reckon it's a good buy.

Beware though...R5 stuff is old stock, and the talk about "forgiveness" is rubbish. I've played with the 3 wood (R5 ti dual) for a week now and it's a great club but no more forgiving than any other I've used.
The R shaft (Fujikura?) is good and well suited to most speeds. It's far better than most graphites I've tried and rate it highly.....

Go for it....but there are better deals (and it's only 425cc...you might regret not going for the supersize 460s available). It's not quite as good as it seems.

Also beware of R5 XL drivers currently at JJB. They are not "the" R5s, but a short run specificaly for sports stores(US). Checked one out today.......dodgy......nowhere near as good as the real R5.

So that's a worse deal then????

Nevada Bobs have it online for £129 as online golf...odd that, also odd is that the sites are spookily similar!

Even more wierd is that the company address is the same for NBs and online golf......?they are the same outfit?....

Why have two sites.....hmmm.....why not 22 sites....

What is there to fit? - the shaft flex and the loft? If I may be so disputatious, it's not rocket science.
You and I know a) what shaft flex we need and b) the amount of loft that would be sensible (given the propensity to impart unwanted side-spin).
They might have a machine to test your club-head speed and a computer that produces some unmitigated bol***** about how you might have hit the ball, but it's not that helpful....

If you bosh it miles, you're going to need stiff, if you can't hit it pretty darn straight you don't want under 10 degrees.

Dave,
All the above plus a tendency for sky shots (I think I'll be orbiting a few before long). Currently 10.5 Regular (Ben Sayers MX7)
What's the remedy doc?

That would be my preference, being someone on the line between R and S. If you are hitting a few skies you need to work out if it's because of teeing it too high or your swing. The bugg** is that by teeing it lower, the temptation is to strike down, exacerbating the problem.

Give me some more info, and I'll think about a drill.

I always use a gray 2.3/4 in. to tee for the driver so I have one consistent element.
I tend to a more upright swing as anything flatter ends up being topped or dragged left.

Thoughts....

1) have you tried "hovering" with your driver
2) Faldo recommends the 3 wood off the driver tee for encouraging your on-the-up....
3) I'd always try feeling flatter (with even more turn), but if it's not working, don't worry.
4) Lastly, work on the flex in your right knee, if you keep the right knee flexed (and the legs in check), it should stop getting too shallow.
