Buying a new driver because I'm just not comfortable of consistent enough with my current one and haven't been for a while - the bottom wheel face adjustment has now also got a crack in it

Tried a few out recently - Ping I and G 25 , Nike , Cobra and have narrowed it down to two drivers with pretty identical results

Big Bertha Alpha and TM SLDR

I know both have been tested on here by various members so just looking for a quick view on either

Simples
It matters not a jot what works for us, it's what works for you that matters

So go out and hit both and then make your own mind up

But I was out driving bros Bertha stiff with my SLDR reg yesterday :)

If they are pretty much identical in performance.

I think the Cally looks the best, I have heard a few comments on it too and the adjustable core can really make it play like two clubs dependant on the flight you require so I have heard

I got the GM Bertha fitting and I can honestly say I have way more control over the flight also iv hit 4-5 300+yards drives in last weeks medal which being the big headed git I aim I took a picture of the GPS yardage and posted it on twitter :) before this iv only hit a handful of 300+ with my older drivers.

BUT mainly the big plus is the control and huge forgiveness

Was yours the Alpha or the other one ?

Listen, you could have driven better than me with your putter yesterday!!!

The SLDR is a good club, no doubt.
So is the Alpha.
So is the Big Bertha.

If I was buying I'd try them all......

I have tried them all

Results with the TM and Callaway ( Alpha )pretty identical

Then it comes down to a combination of looks and cost...
Wasn't hugely keen on the shape of the Alpha but I preferred it to the SLDR.
Love the look of my BB...

Do they still do the 30 day back guarantee on the SLDR ?

The pro in American golf I had a chat to the other day reckons TM have lost it.

(His words not mine) the sldr is a good driver @ high swing speeds but the head/shaft combo is too low spinning for the average golfer even with the loft up.

The jetspeed is a burner 09 with a paint job and a rocketballs hosel.

He reckons they've been blown away by the callaway offerings and the new nike covert tour!

The callaway with the gravity core is like buying 2 different drivers, it affects shot trajectory that much

Another dilemma - both look great and feel great

I got fitted for the alpha as I was losing yards and had less control with the other one even though the alpha is supposed to be the least forgiving one of the two.

Cheers for the info

Try both & buy what suits you best. Not sure a poll is needed .Horses for courses.

It's called canvassing opinion of fellow golfers on a golf forum

If I can't get a general feeling from here then where can a golfer get opinions on golf clubs from other golfers.
