Ordered a new golf driver today, after recently being fitted for it. Currently I play with a Callaway FT9 with Adilla NV 65g stiff shaft in it. Today I ordered a Ping i25 with a stiff shaft. What lovely club, nicely weighted and feel stupidly fast off the club face, even my bad hits were getting out. My pro talked me through some of stats that flightscope was spitting out for me, I didn't have much time to talk in detail about it with him, so maybe you guys on here could me a second opinion?
I have a smash factor of 1.47 - apparently the optimal smash factor is 1.50 and my pro reckoned that point three, could be found from using a ball suited to my swing speed (he was not up selling told me to go away and research it, and then he stocked the ball great, if not buy it off the net), and also I could find the extra .3 from hitting it perfectly out of the sweet spot? I find it hard to believe that ball can make much difference?
My swing speed is averaged out at 106.4mph with a ball speed of 156.2mph, and a dynamic loft of 13 degrees. He suggest that if I could increase this too 15 degrees, I could really get my drives "out there" like I said I didn't have time to go through swing changes to achieve does anyone have any advice?
The best stat I got though was with the i25 my sideways dispersion what tighter and I was carrying the ball 252 on my best drives, compared to 232 with my old callaway (that also had looser dispersion).
