New driver, bargain from my pro!

Towards the end of my lesson today my pro popped into his shop as I continued to whack the balls, he emerged with a callaway big bertha FT-3 10 degrees for me to try, felt lovely and certainly far better than the 12 pound Dunlop one id been swinging...he asked about my budget and I said 100 pound so I was expecting this to be around that, he dropped the bomb... 50 pound! 300 quid new these this was second hand although you couldn't tell, i was chuffed to bits and I loved the club so snapped it up oh and he threw in a golf pride grip for free can't say how high I rate my pro hes a great man and he takes into account the fact im a kid so doesn't recommend something too expensive

He said to me that he originally thought I should wait a bit but then got this in and thought it would be perfect for me so I snapped it up before someone else did!

That was my first ever driver and im sorry I ever got rid of it. My brother is still using it. It's a fantastic club.

I am a big fan of the FT drivers. Never went back as far as the FT-3 but had both an FT-5 and an FT-9.

In my humble opinion the FT3 was better than the FT5.

It may be a few years old but its still a lovely club, when you hit it well it really flies IMO 50 quid was a good price it all but brand new

Thats about a fair price so if its still in good nick you have a little gem.

I have had my ft-5 for about 4 years now I think. Probably keep it till either the head falls off or I lose it.
