Had some birthday cash and few comp wins so vouchers in pro shop so decided to get a new driver. i was drawn to ping g20 but had a knock with it and really did not like it at all it was going so high there was snow on and decided to had a go with titleist d3 10.5 regular. I was a bit reluctant as im a high handicap player and always though titleist was for low handicap players buy this club works for me, set at neutral i did not miss 1 fairway, low launch which i like and i found it easy to play a draw or fade when needed.I think this club is great and well worth the money i paid. Im really surprised as i though the ping g20 would have been perfect for my handicap but the head was huge, bulky and had no feel at all. I used a g10 in the week and that was quite nice but holding it next to a g20 the g10 is much small.

I also like the 913 D3, looked at the G20 today and laughed out loud in AG at the size, it's like a comedy club head even though it's 460cc it looks bigger

Glad that someone else thinks it looks stupid big too. I hit a few shoots and I'm surprised health and safety let them be used as they endanger aircraft. Who need anti aircraft guns just get people driving balls with them

The 913 is a great driver. It is important to choose the right shaft, but there is a massive range available. The stock shafts are pretty good and include a lightweight option and the custom range is huge. You may find that the best fitting 913 has a higher loft number than your Ping or TM but you shouldn't be put off by the notion that the Titleist is a low handicappers club only.

I had a go with the demo Titleist drivers in the shop and I do like them. I know Titleist like to pitch that they are a better player manufacturer but to be honest I think they have a wider appeal than perhaps they acknoweldge
