Trying to cheer myself up during this spell of horrific weather by browsing various opens that I could play at some new courses this year.

I already have North Berwick, Gullane 1, Gullane 2, Kilspindie and Dundonald booked and am looking at some opens at Crail, Boat of Garten and Machrihanish amongst others.

So what new courses are you planning to play this year?

I wanted to play a few new courses in Opens this year, but believe it or not, with holidays already booked and games I have booked up elsewhere I don't think I'm going to be able to manage it!!
I am playing Parkstone, Broadstone Ferndown and West Sussex this year, four courses that I have never visited before and really looking forward to them.

I'm definitely playing Royal St Georges, the Old Course, St Andrews New and probably the Berkshire this year - not a bad quartet for new courses this year!

New courses for me are:

Emirates Faldo Course Dubai
Emirates Majlis Course Dubai
Dubai Creek
Jumeirah Earth Course Dubai
Sunningdale Old
Sunningdale New
Belfry Derby (playing Brab and PGA in same trip, but played them before)

So far, that is it...but I am sure another couple will come along!

Already played 1 new course this year being Enville, got another on Wednesday at Hayling Island, 2 more then with Royal Cinque & Royal St Georges, got quite a few then lined up throughout the year that I'm looking forward to and no doubt will be adding some as the year goes on🏌⛳️

if you are thinking of an Open at Boat of Garten, book it now, they only have one which is in Aug and it is usually full within a couple of weeks of it going live.
