i play to about 18 with nike pro combo clubs but these are very unforgiving and im looking to purchase a new set can anyone advise me on a forgiving set ???

They are forgiving, quality manufacturing, long, and they are cheap at under £300.
Also have a look at X20's, Mizuno MX-25's, Wilson Staff Di7's and Ping G5/G10s.
There are so many good irons so best bet is to slide on down the range and have a whack with a few and go from there.
