Well after asking the question about replacing the 40yr old clubs and reading replace the irons many times.
I bought a Taylormade 5 fairway and Taylormade rescue
Baptised them at the driving range tonight and as I hoped and kind of expected they are every bit as good as the Taylormade 3 fairway I already had.
Looking forward to tomorrow (Friday) now, getting the golf in before the weather hits this weekend, got a round with my dad first thing and another round at a different course with two mates with a 17:30hrs tee off.
Game plan for both rounds is going to be less gung ho (unless the round has gone to khrap and I've nothing to lose) try to manage the course carefully and keep away from the OOB.
