Why do club manufacturers put such stupid stickers on their clubs?

What's the best way to remove all the residue and crap left on the shaft and face by the stupid stickers??

Hot soapy water and some elbow grease.

As above but be careful as the detergent can soften the glue that hold the ferrol onto the shaft.

Get a rag and lightly dampen it with a little petrol. Guaranteed to remove the residue.
Only lightly dampened though.
Or WD40 at a push, it will eventually shift it.

White spirit is as good as any. It is used when putting grips on, so it won't damage graphite shafts.

Thanks for the help chaps.

FYI i used a bit of white spirit on an old sock and they came of a treat.
quick wash down with soapy water afterwards and they're sparkling.

a word of warning though, don't put the sock in the washing machine afterwards with your bedding

Ordinary Furniture polish. Quick spray & sticky residue comes right off & any bits of paper from price labels etc.
