Played today with my teaching pro cousin at my new club... Sweetwoods Park. Firstly.... what a course, long but the need for accuracy, lightening greens and really picturesque.

Secondly I shot an 18 over 90 (40 points with 23 on the back!)..... which off my handicap isgood no matter what, but combined with the fact that I was 11 over after 4 shows how good a round I had.

lastly I picked up some Dunlop DP1 V3s from sport and soccer.... what a great ball. Soft, long, don't scuff up much.

All in all a great day.

Oh and my teaching pro cousin for 3 under with 3 to play.....Only to finish +4.

Great to see a happy change!

Surprised to see a disaster on those 3 holes (train-wreck would be very politically incorrect!). The 3 before them are tough though!

The really good 9-holer down the road used to have a shop with great ball selection attached - and the Pub was very nice too! That was 'last century' though!

No comebacks from your 'old' club? Time to change your avatar!

no not a word from them.... It seems they've taken in on the chin, but we'll see.

yeah the 9 holer is holtye. ... supposed to be very nice but tight. I've never had a chance to play it.

He had a bad bogey on the par 3 when a little too much back spin took him back to the bottom of the hill.... but it was the 8 on the 18th that killed him. 3 off the tee and the a bad recovery shot and the writing was on the wall.

That's the one! Highly recommended!

Though looks like Sweetwoods has the sort of progressive ownership to be a really good place! Always had some really good holes and a reasonable 'balance'. The 1st hole is tough - even without the walk up to the tee and from green to 2nd!!
