New Camera

I am looking for a new camera.

Looking to spend around £250-£300 on one but have no idea where to start!

Any suggestions oh wise forum?

My daughter would love one in pink.

I want it for two things really.

Good holiday snaps and taking pictures of my new fish tank!

As you can tell I'm no expert on these matters so easy to use middle of the road, good picture quality camera really.

If you don't want anything too complicated you won't go far wrong with something from Panasonic... Either something from their compact range or one of their excellent 'bridge' cameras... Had my TZ3 for quite a few years and its never let me down...

Similar advice to buying a new driver! Go to a specialist shop, ie jessops and try a few out! I personally would not buy another Sony compact camera, I have had 3 now and they have all gone wrong. My current fuji is pretty good and was well under 100 quid! My mrs would say canon, although she is a camera geek and has some flash eos dslr thing... I can't even turn the thing on! Lol

yeh been married for 5 years and have 2kids plus one on the way, given up trying to turn it on now.

bought the wife a canon dc1100 for xmas for 280, very very impressed with it, great quality pictures
