New boy

well then whats in the bag??
first of all I have a callaway X460 (9.5 tour version)with a Fujikura stiff shaft. I have callaway X tour 3 and 5 woods (stiff shafts), currently toying with the idea of trying out a hybrid/rescue club but not sure yet. Mizuno MP-67 irons (3-PW thinking of changing to be honest, havent had them long but not totally convinced yet, before this I used titleist blades). Callaway X forged vintage wedges - I have these in 52,56 and 60 degrees and take whatever I feel depending on conditions/course etc. Also have an old rusty Mizuno Raw Oxide in 64 degrees that comes out time to time. I have a Scotty Cameron Studio Newport 2 putter (34 inch) that I recently changed to from an Odyssey 2 ball. Normally use Pro V1x balls but recently been very impressed witht he Srixon equivilent Z-URS.

What club do you leave out the bag??

well i sometimes leave the 5 wood at home or sometimes one of the wedges, like i said depends on a lot of things, i prefer to carry the 3 woods as i hit the 5 wood a lot better than the 3 off the deck but if i feel the course suits more wedge play i will use the 3 fairway wood and take all the wedges. most commonly at my home course i wont take a lob wedge.

If you wanna sell your irons Mike how much wood you want for them? Also what did you not like about them? I tried the MP 67 demo club and loved it.

actually homer i work offshore in the north sea so theres no chance of a game until next saturday at the earliest! :( but yeah ive heard the weathers been pretty shocking at home.

Im gonna keep the irons for the rest of this year and see how i go, i was told that they would benefit my swing better than the titleist's so i changed, i love the longer irons but i just dont have the confidence from 7 downwards so far, im hoping its just feel and getting used to them but in my head i keep telling myself i shouldnt have changed, but my club pro is adament, and knowing him for 20 years (and moslty beating him as a kid) i trust his opinion. If i do get rid ill let you know.

htl where have you been. guess what your right them Titleist clubs do look a little better now although theyre still nothing on the 695mbs.
