Today was our Sunday swindle Christmas Cup - medal.
As per my previous post I decided that in light of certain comments pertaining to my 'slow' play, I'd try and be more positive over the ball and not freeze.
How did it go?
Well, I drove our 1st green (274 yards for all you big boys out there........ ) and then proceeded to knock the eagle putt in. Understandably, I'm now feeling very confident about my new 'routine'.
Standing on the 4th tee and I'd given those two shots back!
I finished the front nine 1 over gross and I'm still happy.
A bit of a shaky couple of holes on 12 and 13 but I held it all together to finish with a 77 (nett 69) with the par being 72.
I came 3rd.

I felt that I was quicker which helped me to commit to the shot more - no more so than putting where I had 32 putts which, for me, is very good.

I'll carry on with more positive attitude I reckon.

PS........I'm still thought of as slow but we were all joking about it afterwards so I'm guessing that's a good thing.
PPS........I turned up on the 1st tee with dirty shoes........;)

Yip, it was the negative energy emitting from the crud encrusted golf shoes that resulted in the sloppy back nine!

I honestly thought that this post was entitled - "New attitude to my golf shoes".

I was picturing newly washed, polished and crud free golf shoes making you feel positive and happy with the cut of your jib along with tales of derring do about how you hit 8 below your handicap.

I mustn't speed read so much.

In a similar vein I played with a more laid back attitude in the stableford today. Sadly I didn't play as well you but that was the fault of me and my ropey swing and not the negative karma from dirty shoes.
