I'm sure the styling will divide opinion, but I quite like them. Available in both spiked and spikeless

I've always been an Adidas fan, that was until I bought a pair of ATV 360 Tours. Half plastic, half leather and a re-enforcing support strip that dug into the outside of my left foot. After 4 months it has eased however they aren't a patch on the quality my old Adidas Tour Brogues which died after about 5 years.

A look at the new Adidas shoes in Sports Directs sale and almost all of their shoes are plastic. I thought the Samba Golf Shoes on clearance at £35 were a bargain not to be missed but on trying them on they were not for me. Very uncomfortable and plastic uppers, which was a surprise considering the RRP and the fact that the original Samba trainers were leather.

I then noticed a pair of Footjoy Superlites in white and brown for £33 reduced from £65. On trying them on, they fit very well, (7.5 is similar to Adidas size 8), but more importantly the quality and comfort were a league above Adidas, so much so that there's a good chance my ATV's will go on ebay to be replaced by Dryjoy Tours.

I'll keep my Adidas Golflites for winter as they are plastic but easy to wipe down, however if Adidas continue with their plastic policy, any new purchases will be FJ.

Never had any issues with adidas shoes personally (or FJ either).

Personally don't see the issue with the uppers not being leather. Modern plastics are breathable, waterproof, easy to clean.

Saying that the adiCross Tour leather looks high quality

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. But, did anyone buy a pair of these?

I just picked up a pair from the 'backroom sale' posted the other day (style below). They claim a 1 yr waterproof guarantee but the material surrounding the three stripes is fabric, not leather. Anyone know if this part will allow water through?

Cheers,

Paul
