But we actually had about 4 hours of decent heavy rain today.... And i was glad to see it..Its been dry here the past 3 weeks with very cold temps, Frost, Ice, and freezing wind........I cant imagine how you Girls and Boys across the pond put up with the snow......We got away with Murder here on the west coast of Ireland....

Our greens were heavily sanded..Rock hard and very bumpy......Very little grass growth if any at all.....And for the middle of March the grass was so yellow and brown looking that you'd think we had 6 months of nothing but sunshine......NOT

Anyway....A few rays of the shiney stuff crept through the clouds last week for a few hours so with maybe a few more days rain here and there and a week of sunshine it might wake the course up from its Hibernation and maybe just maybe it'll be right in time for the proper summer months......

Here's Hoping

I agree, went and watch my local rugby team play last Saturday and the pitch was July hard! Raining nicely here now, forecast till fri/sat which is perfect for my Sunday 18 holes!

We had heavy rain forecast for overnight but it's now changed to heavy rain when I'm having my golf lesson mid morning.
