Went to a concert this week, well known name. First half comes to an end; having earlier made a comment about not knowing why they have it as he only stands behind the curtain looking at his watch, the star turn then lets the band leave and goes to the front of the stage, shakes hands, signs autographs and poses for selfies with fans. 20 minutes later when the band returns, he's still there signing & shaking having never left, the band restarts and he apologetically leaves the fans to start singing again.

Very refreshing to see; thank you James Taylor, a pleasant change from the contempt in which some performers seem to hold their fans.

Great performer and person.

We went to a concert in the Festival Hall Glasgow [big stage and audience].
The warm up act was a wee slip of a lass playing unplugged.

She was desperately nervous and shaking like a leaf when tuning up.

Suddenly this big gruff voice shouts out 'where ye from lass' She nervously admitted to being English and the pair then started a couple of minutes dialogue which had the audience laughing it's head of.
Nerves over she then went on to give a very polished performance which was warmly applauded.

My grandad was called James Taylor. My dad had a few of his albums.
It was only after he died that me and the brother worked out they weren't the same person....

Something that Socket and I are 'of the same mind' for a change! And there is, indeed, a Mason-Dixon line!

Bit of a rebel/idiot in his early days, and probably cant remember 5 years or more of part of his career, but part of, and quite central to, a fantastic, if somewhat incestuous, community of some of the all time greats of American music.

Not my cup of tea musically but I can certainly appreciate his contribution to music. It's always nice to see the 'stars' spending time with the people who put them there. Nice touch.

Some of you whippersnappers don't know good music if it bit you in the arse ;) As to music from the olden days, well you missed out on a lot of quality. This one was before a lot of you were twinkles in the old mans eye!

James Taylor is a fantastic musician. I've never seen him live but he's definitely on my must see list.
