On my way out the door this morning I quickly put the highlights of the PGA tour on and I can't quite remember the chaps name but some bloke had a humungous black putter which the commentators called the Black Hawk!

Interestingly it has the biggest putter MOI but that's all I know about it. Anyone know the maker and the benefits the MOI, I'm guessing larger sweet spot. If I had to say I'd say it's something he knocked up in his garage but surly the R&A or USPGA would have to pass it legal, yes?

Assume you mean Matt Everys putter, it is truly hideous, like a black bit of 2x4 on a stick lol. On all accounts its an Orion Black Hawk, supposed to have as high an MOI as possible and supposedly has the same feel from anywhere in the clubface. Also it basically sets itself so that he cant put his hands in the wrong place

Now that sounds interesting... always seem to miss hit one putt in the round so maybe one less shot a round. Ugly thing though isn't it?

That must be the chaps name as typing this I've forgot it again

LOL, great thread.. it really DOES look like a bin lid on a stick doesn't it?

If he wins they'll be everywhere <<<< see what I did there? ;)

I just looked this up, it's a proper eyesore. How does he fit it in his bag ??

I don't care if it sinks every putt I ever take ever again - that POS is never- repeat never - finding it's way into my bag.
If I have to start using one then that's time to call it a day.....

How do they think it resembles a Hawk - one assumes it's supposed to otherwise it would be called the BlackBox POS.
