Never lose another ball

there are many hi viz balls on the market and they work well for some, less well for others.

the rf ball doesn't comply with the rules

I once tried to get hold of a trial pack of the vision balls (and was actually asked to be on their Proto development system too) but the cost of delivery of balls from Australia was way too expensive for me to consider.

I know a user on one of the other forums was the distributor for Vision balls over here but they ever sold well and again were too expensive for what was a relatively untried ball over here. Seem to get fairy good reviews in the US forums for their vivid colours, but I've never had any experience of them myself.

Can you explain in what way this ball doesn't comply as the company "appear" to be saying that it does.

Electronic Instrument Used to Find Ball

Q.A radio-frequency identification chip has been embedded in a golf ball. When used with a special radio receiver, a player may find such a ball readily because the receiver emits a signal that grows louder as the person holding the receiver moves closer to the ball. Is the use of such a ball and receiver permissible?

A.No. Use of such a ball in conjunction with the receiver is a breach of Rule 14-3.

Thanks Duncan I was only looking at the ball when in fact it is the use of the receiver (or artificial device) that is the problem here.

I'm out regardless of who sells them. Golf balls should be white, if people don't want to lose them, they should hit them straighter

Yup they should also contains a gentleman's top hat worth of feathers ;).

Those balls plus older cobra drivers would probably equal tinnitus.

High viz balls can still get lost under leaves and in long grass. I'm going to make my fortune by making aniseed flavoured balls and hiring out foxhounds or beagles...
