As good as the spectacle is, netball is also a cracking sport to watch. I go and watch my wife play every saturday. Once you understand it all, its awesome. Plus its ahem, easy on the eye.

Watch a little bit last night and had no clue what was happening, bit like basketball without the dribbling and for a non contact sport there seemed to be plenty of penalties given for contact.

It's quite honestly the most contact-y non-contact sport I've ever watched.
My Mrs. comes back most weeks with scratches/cuts/bruises on her arms/legs/face. It's brutal!

And actually an excellent game to play.
Our School had an annual fun/charity tournament where 1st 11 Hockey, Soccer and 1st 15 Rugby teams all played Netball - Coaching and Umpiring being done by the Netball team! Entertaining to say the least! Wifee1 played pretty high level and would have been higher but for some nepotism!

A few years ago when we lived down south, my wife wanted to get into playing netball again as she hadn’t done anything since school, but she certainly has kept herself in shape though.
Found a local club and went along for the practice night and came back saying how nice all the women had been and that she had been asked to go again the next week. When that came around off she went and said they had said they all went out for a drink after practice and she would be back later as she was going to go for a few drinks this time.
Anyway she came back early in tears as a few of the “Ladies†had tried it on with her!!!!
